I met Matthew May 2015 and my life has continuously been improved from the first time I worked with him. I struggled with depression, eating disorder, sleeping -and digestion issues.

To be frankly, I had no purpose to go on with my life. I barely couldn’t digest the simplest food and my sleeping issues affect me in my everyday life. Even Chinese medicine couldn´t help me. I´ve tried 3 x vipassana and it never felt like a long-term solution, and after a couple of months you go back to the same issues again.

I met him on meditation day and it was the first time I felt like someone was actually listening and understanding my struggle/ issues I had. Never, ever felt this before and it was a realization that I am not alone.

Matthew is the purest, honest and clearest person you ever will come in contact with. Through his unique sensitivity, deeply rooted sense of himself and clear vision approach - he is able to understand the human body and can help everyone to get through their own pain/issues/struggles with his unique approach and simple communication skills.

Matthew helped me to unfold my own sense of myself and uncover all the protective thinking/thought processes which will block you from the true sense of yourself. As soon as you think you´re disconnecting yourself from the real sensation from yourself.

If I look back, my eating disorder has been healed, my sleep issues have improved by 75 % and I´m enjoying living. To be frankly, I never can pay enough money for the improvement in my life of his work.

My first retreat in 2015 was living changing experience:

English isn´t my mother language and my skills have been enough for attending 7 days on silent retreat, and in the end, I stayed 14 days.

People might say the language skills would be a barrier but it was the best thing ever to happen to me. After the first day I was thinking all the time, and I can´t translate every word in my head because that means I won´t listen to what he is expressing. I suffered on this day with a massive headache and I have never experienced this before.

I trooped all this thinking and purely listening with my body sensation because I had no other choice. LIFE CHANGING. On the second day of the retreat, I had a massive breakthrough about why I was suffering with life, and where some thoughts come from.

Purely, my body was communicating to me. I learned through this experience my body cells are holding memories, which I forgot about and I use thinking/thoughts as protective magnismen. This was the most fulfilling and nourishing experience since this day.

His approach is so unique and simple that everyone is able to discover this for themselves, if you let Matthew support you through your own struggles, and unfold your enemies.

Katja

Very insightful, disturbing, stirring, enriching and healing yesterday. Thanks very much Matthew. Always a pleasure to see your generosity  and acute sensitivity (understatement) of expression in helping us  to see  where we can help ourselves with our pain and distress. What a difference a day makes.

Simon.

The utterly unique experience of working with Matthew has permeated every part of my life. The changes for the better are profound, long lasting and beyond anything that I could have imagined.

April 2015

I had suffered from a phobia of flying for 15years of my adult life but in the middle of a recent 10 hour flight having done a four and a half hour flight the day before I was reminded of just what an impact that Matthew Meinck has had on my life. Because after 15 years my phobias had taken over my life until I started to work with Matthew to heal my traumas.
During that flight not only did I realise that I was enjoying the experience but I had also learnt to care for my health and every other aspect of my life in order to make that journey possible.
The utterly unique experience of working with Matthew has permeated every part of my life. The changes for the better are profound, long lasting and beyond anything that I could have imagined.

Thanks to Matthew Meinck : My digestion, skin texture, muscle tone and general fitness have all improved dramatically.... I felt at odds with my body for about forty years before I came to this understanding.

7/1/15

I know for most people obtaining good health is pretty obvious, eat well, rest, drink water, exercise, meditate they are all just ways of responding to the body’s needs but for the best part of my life I somehow managed to overlook these things and the profound impact that they can have. I had the desire to have optimum health but I just couldn’t follow through, I thought it was a matter of will and that I just had to try harder.

I had limited sensitivity to my subtle and not so subtle physical states but over time that changed.
The sensitivity I have now has been born out of having daily contact with myself (the body) in meditation. So really weather I like it or not I can feel exactly what is going on in the body and the response is often quite intuitive and automatic with very little thought involved.

My digestion, skin texture, muscle tone and general fitness have all improved dramatically.
I wanted to share this because I felt at odds with my body for about forty years before I came to this understanding. The understanding didn’t come from the place that I thought it would. I wasn’t meditating in order to understand my physical health in this way. In my ignorance I thought that meditation would just help me think clearly about my health and that would help me carry out a plan and that plan would probably be devised by another person (health practitioner).
If someone told me that meditating would improve my digestion I would just think oh yeh that would be nice and think that any result that might occur would be a subtle one. How wrong could I have been, my digestive system is me and I can’t not know what is going on with it.
It is a marvel to me every day that from the moment I get up in the morning to the moment I fall asleep at night I am intuitively responding to all that my body needs. It’s just what a living thing does when there is no interference.

It is no small gift that I have been given and one that no other person will ever know the full depth of what I am expressing because I am the only one that can feel it. Words just don’t cut it.
It would be nice to think though that for anyone who reads this and is in need of healing that the part of them that desires healing like I did will hear what I have expressed and it will spark a new interest in them to follow their own way to health.

It is not something that you can give to someone but the people who nurtured that spark in me are Kate and Matthew Meinck. Likewise it isn’t something I can give to them in return nor do they need it as they have their own intelligence but I do hope that it will shine a light on the nature and intent of the people that I call my friends.

Post retreat with Matthew Meinck 2014

Bodily intelligence is superior.  Thought can only comment on what the body knows and or interfere with it. Thought is slow and stupid. The body records, responds in real time.  It is just the responding or recording of vibration and that vibration cannot be incorrect.
If you touch your hand to a flame you will feel it. Thought on the other hand can convince you that you cannot feel the flame. It is bizarre that we want to trust thought.
The body knows vast things that thinking has no hope of comprehending it will only get in the way of that vastness.
We don’t need to be told what to eat or how to eat or when to eat. But how many of us are truly in touch with that ability. And how much suffering does this cause.
From time to time I find I am in touch with these nutritional needs in me and indeed I can be in touch with someone else's and there is no thought involved, thought can’t do that.
It is like following a smell. Like smelling a rose in a large unfamiliar garden and you can’t see it but smell leads you until you find the plant.  In the same way you feel out the ingredients of what is needed for that meal for that person for example.
These things didn’t come about because I decided I wanted to work it out they come about because I was interested or had the feeling to want to nurture myself or others.
In the same way you turn at the last minute just before you trip over something you can't see, your body knows that something is there if we are interested and quiet enough to listen. If you are distracted you fall over and it is the same with all of life.
This is what I am discovering for myself from sitting quietly with my pain on retreat and felt like I wanted to share.

Matthew’s non-judgemental presence, broad outlook and integrity, is helping me to see that the vitally essential thing to do, is to be with the physical sensations in the body and allow an ongoing integration

2013 Retreat

Physiological Changes

For the first week or so on retreat it really felt as if I was living the impact of the effects of my entire life over again, and then dropping those associated memories.

Memories are from past events. The event does not exist now, but the physical impact and effect of an event when occurring, forms a memory or a familiarity pattern, that is, if it was not resolved and healed. So the memories are now physical impressions that are embedded into the cellular structure of the body. The impact of these memories affects different parts of the body according to each event (now a memory) on each corresponding part of the body. For example, the function of our eyes is for looking at life, (what is going on) and if there is an impact on our eyes from what we have seen or what we see, then the memory has had an effect on us, and in this case our eyes, and on the way we look at life. That is our perception, and not our sensory awareness, and the latter is our primary function.

Perceptions are deceptions when we see life in which we have remembered life, rather than the immediate factuality of what is going on before our eyes in living, as it unfolds. This is not viewed as an experience or opinion, but rather, it is an ongoing constant discovery of what I am in direct contact with. If we use, and are aware of the senses in their primary function, then the facts are less likely to be distorted through our perception.

Our whole awareness with the primary functions of the senses can be in our direct experience, when there has been a period of quiet in our life. And of course, ongoing quiet times are required to maintain that ongoing physical awareness of those primary functions of the senses. Physical activity is also required.

To be physically involved in life with everyday necessary tasks is as equally valuable as sitting quietly. Both are required to function correctly as a whole and healthy human being.

The second week on retreat, the body very naturally, was healing those affects of my entire life, and bringing together an intelligent understanding of separated behaviours I had in the form of habitual, and or, accumulative ideas about myself.

This very much physical experience was, and can be best described, as if I had shed an old skin, and a new one immediately came forward. This encompassed my real time experience of living now, with so much interest in a deeper sense of what is really going on.

Matthew’s openness offered the catalyst in me to settle into the physical experience (as there is no other real experience) of the meditation retreat.

Integrating Old Behavioural Patterns of Conditioning

I am rising above old behaviours (habitual activity of unnecessary thinking) by simply allowing those behaviours to be there, and not indulging in them nor not acting on them.

In that non dual natural state (of not feebly attempting to control), that I uniquely have, those old behaviours or conditions are lessened in the reaction I have to them, and the power they seemed to have over me. They are not just a part of me, but are now a whole of me.

This is an array of ongoing discovered physical agitation and sensations of integrating.

The body understands, in its natural intelligent state, that a real natural approach to life does not know any familiarities of memories. An uncontrolled, non-imposing, physical sense of my physical presence, involved with the movement of life’s existence.

I am navigating my way through life safely with understanding this, of where I am coming from, and what I am doing. Not feeling that I have anything now to hide from myself, takes away the worry of useless and nonsensical thinking. Task related thinking is not useless and does not cause divisions.

Thinking that is in line with my activity, is very natural and very much a normality. This mechanical thinking and nature’s intended use of it, is not to be underestimated.

The nature of thought in this mechanical way is merely a correct and natural mechanism of action and thought working together as the one living organism. When there is no division in the two, then there are no new repetitive behavioural patterns that arise from such correct actions.

There is simply a response to whatever is going on before me in life as it is unfolding. This natural actioned response to life leaves no residual of repeating. In this natural response there is no accumulative reactionary behaviour. So therefore there is no habitual activity of unnecessary thinking. Its momentum simply ceases to exist.

Since an early age, even when not in situations of natural instinctive fear (but thinking I was affected by my view of life, my memory, my familiarity, my experience of life) of getting screwed over, a behavioural (first) pattern had well developed of living out of that fear of getting screwed over and over again. What was then born, or what then emerged from that was another secondary behavioural pattern, and that was to screw others over. In other words, a behavioural pattern to get what I wanted without consideration.

As any behaviour (repetitive action that I am not in contact with) removes me from any sensory awareness of my true physical presence - the above mentioned first behaviour had pushed the second behaviour into the background even deeper and thus further dividing parts of the whole of me. This left me at odds with myself and with a gut wrenching feeling of ripping away from myself.

Without intentionally sounding dramatic, that can best be described and was experienced (at the time, and now just a memory) as tearing burning skin and flesh off muscle, tissue and bone. It makes further sense to me now why I am so interested in my own healing!

Up until then, there was no real depth of understanding that this pain was in reaction to how I was, from my upbringing and under development.  Also, other past distractive behaviours emerged, further deepening more divisions or splits.

I realize that such actions, and indulging or entertaining in thinking about such actions, has a devastating effect on myself and those around me.
Inconsiderate and irresponsible behaviours are a huge conflict to the body and to the natural order of things. They are dangerous to the individual and those in close proximity. This is exemplified and also amplified on a local and global scale of war. Hence, here in the seemingly unsurmountable problem, accessible to all, lies the very simple and natural solution.

Everyone is responsible for their actions and until so, it is very likely that nothing will change.

Now, through understanding correct and natural living, all this is coming forward and integrating within me. This is a paradox because coming forward and integrating within me is bringing understanding of correct and natural living.

It can be seen for what it is, and that is, patterns integrating, and not accepting the first behaviour, nor not wanting to act out of the second behaviour. That is not to harm myself, not allow others to harm me, nor do I harm others through repetitive and abusive behaviour.

Even though I describe the behaviours as two behaviours, really, they are just one dysfunction, as both are in reaction to one another, and it is not possible to have one, without the other.

All is OK if I do not go into personalizing, and identifying with this condition, as what will follow are reactionary confused states.

A rise of genius and passionate interest arose about understanding these reactionary behaviours, and any projection out of the annoyed viciousness, coming from within me, that cause harm, only if indulged in.
On the retreat, with long periods of quiet and the simply luxury of an environment of no distractions, these old behavioural patterns of conditioning became glaringly obvious yet very subtle at the same time. The realization of the now, non occurring divisions in me, encourage me immensely to be involved in what I am doing, and thus allowing further integration to take place on its own accord.

Sitting with this, there was a strong physical sense that the body was integrating all of these divisions, in a very reassuring, and powerfully elemental experience of shimmering fluidity.

This was undeniable real for me, and there was understanding, and then appreciation of what Matthew continues to express. That is, to be with whatever condition and state that I am in, and not react to that. To honour my disturbances and my pain, will bring about great healing. And that is being merely as honest as one can be with oneself.

Improvement in Self Understanding and Meditation.

In everyday daily tasks, including meditation, it feels that I am maturing, sensing less resistance or struggle, of who I am, as an ongoing integrating human being.

This ongoing integration within me is very much a physical experience going on within the body.

Matthew’s words, expressed with extraordinary sensitivity and understanding along the way, stir, assist, encourage and inspire the expression of life within me to persevere and go the distance.

Post Retreat

Since retreat I find that I am somewhat excited out of this passionate interest, involved and attentive.

I sense that it is the excitement that only an integrated man can feel.  An integrated man at the start of a journey whose conclusion is uncertain.

Most Recent

Other personas (patterns of behaviour) that I am so far aware of and sense are becoming clearer in the integration of the totality of all that I am. In the past, I had tried EVERY possible way to avoid that which I needed to face up to. And that was to face up to those divisions in me.

All of these avoidances brought the same, deeply unsatisfying and harmful results, and further removing me from any sense of me. The difficulty has been removed when I face up to what I am doing, by understanding where in my physical presence (my body) am I coming from.

Knowing where I am coming from, enables me to know what I am doing. Living life with a sense of the entire whole of which I am, and from that impetus seeing what may fall into place and what drops away.

What I have within me is more than enough, and the energy of being in contact with that, will bring me to what is really needed.

To navigate myself correctly through life, I need to be coming from this safety of understanding. Rising up to face my responsibilities and getting involved, automatically ‘puts back’ into life what I have received. It is so much more enjoyable to do this, than to not do this.

All of this has now exposed a recent insight of understanding, and sensations of tension that comes from a tendency to control my experiences.

It is an arrogant attitude to control and removes me from the natural state of aliveness. That control, or trying too hard, simply interferes with living, and has no value, nor is it necessary to continue with anymore.

It feels it is big part of the whole of me that has got in the way. I can keep getting on with living and resolving this in me by being aware of it. My shoulders have dropped with less pressure on them. It is not now, an all consuming behaviour as what it was with such similar behaviours fifteen months ago. I am now not giving myself a hard time and am enriched for all of this. Past adversity has brought with it the seed of a now equivalent advantage. This is where I am at today, and now equipped to keep on staying on.

I am appreciative of Matthew’s patient professional work as a true Heath Care Professional, and as a good friend. Matthew’s non-judgemental presence, broad outlook and integrity, is helping me to see that the vitally essential thing to do, is to be with the physical sensations in the body and allow an ongoing integration of a myriad of such behavioural tendencies. And neither condemns nor condones that condition.

Matthew Meinck's work is completely effective and naturally holistic in a real and honest way

Matthew’s tireless presence to respond 24 hours day and night for 14 days in June has changed my life in all ways I have experienced directly for the first time.
The healing that I have received and that is ongoing is indescribable – true health care again from Matthew Meinck at its best that is second to none.  Words cannot really convey that somehow from persevering to be still in my inner world of reactionary turmoil has now given me a second wind and a second chance in life to give.
I am waking up in the mornings with a physical sense of what it is to be me and meet the outside world with that very natural intelligent feeling.
After a jammed packed life of torment and escapism from pain I can now at last with much gratitude to Matthew’s work –go at my own pace with what I am and how I am. At times that is painful but then that is how I am healing and enriching my life in all areas of life.
A number of health carers (excluding Matthew) in all areas of the industry were not able to get me to go to the guts of the problem to heal the guts of the problem. Matthew’s work is completely effective and naturally holistic in a real and honest way.
And did I say that it is because of Matthew’s extraordinary work this has been made possible.

I have just returned from a two week meditation retreat with Matthew Meinck

'I have just returned from a two week meditation retreat with Matthew Meinck.
I am in my thirteenth year of going on retreats.
The clarity and understanding that Matthew has, has evolved incredibly over that time.
His insight and sensitivity is spot on each and every time.
With new people, Matthew gets straight to the cause of their complaint, unlike counselling which in my experience hangs on to the problem.
For me, through his hard work I have nearly resolved the last of my issues ingrained in me from childhood.
I am now able to fully live life from the strength of the person I really am.
I will continue to go on retreats to maintain my own clarity and understanding of myself and life around me.
Thank you once again, and a million times over Matthew'

Matthew Meinck was the only person who could reach me

Shut down, powerless, hiding form myself, hiding from everyone, there wasn't enough of me present to engage in life. I felt withdrawn, like looking out of a window watching everything going on around me but I felt stuck, disconnected.
Unable to express the agony and confusion of what it felt like to be me but couldn't understand why I felt so horrible and shut down.

Matthew Meinck, was the only person who could reach me, hiding inside too afraid to be seen or heard. Through our interactions, this terrified part began to feel safe to express like never before.

With his unique understanding, no textbook jargon, just gutsy real interaction with true sensitivity , I could feel the truth being uncovered from this hidden me.

Being sexually abused as a small child, the trauma is unbearable, no words, no concept of what it means, but the sense of it remains in the body, locked in. The pattern is set, the abuse continued throughout my life. This part of me was hidden, a secret life, born of this kind of pain.

Coming back to life has been painful, facing up to the trauma, the horrible feelings and disease in me.

Matthew goes so far beyond the limited concept we have been taught to believe is “healing” in the medical world. I avoided surgery having healed a condition called “endometriosis” which  debilitated me for most of my adult life, by taking real care of myself, healing naturally!

If Matthew had not been so brutally cut down by the lies and media propaganda, a hell of a lot more people could have had the opportunity to truly heal, as I am.

This could not have been possible without the tireless and unending support of Matthew Meinck

Ending the cycle of abuse has been the single most difficult thing I have done in my life. This could not have been possible without the tireless and unending support of Matthew Meinck. This period of transformation occurred for me during a time when Matthew was subjected to gross media vilification and malicious personal attacks on him. Without his brave resilience to these attacks, I would not have had the ability or the inspiration to make the dramatic changes in my life that I have.

Being subjected to extreme physical, psychological and sexual abuse is something a child should never experience. My experience of being abused as a child caused a disassociation within me from the pain and trauma that the abuse causes. The disassociation is necessary for survival, living in an environment where those that are meant to be the caregivers are actually the abusers. I became numb to this part of my life and it was as if it didn’t even exist. I didn’t have the ability or the capacity to take on the abuse – no child does!

Growing into physical adulthood the abuse continued. Being numb to this aspect of my life, I had little awareness of how vulnerable I was to continually being abused and also to abusing others. Being disassociated from and numb to the pain and trauma of abuse is what allowed me to abuse others – you have to be divided within yourself to be able to do this.

The only way this cycle of abuse was able to come to an end was for the division within me to become integrated so that I could live as a whole person – for the first time in my life as an adult. I had to relive and experience the extreme disturbance and the pain and trauma of abuse, something I had disassociated with, to become whole again. I believe that this would not have been possible without the unending support given to me by Matthew. His support was determined and consistent even when faced with his own personal challenges of being attacked by a misinformed media and public.

It is thanks to Matthew that I can now live a life free of this world of abuse. Something I am eternally grateful for. My only wish is that people would wake up to how important people like Matthew are in the world and support them rather than allow them to be attacked.

Thanks to Matthew (Meinck) life is now simple, clear and straight forward.

Getting to the bottom of people pleasing.

Before meeting Matthew (Meinck) i never had any testicles, or 'balls' as they say.
I was completely gutless.
My life was pathetic and miserable.
I was a people pleaser.
I couldn't think for myself, well feel for myself really.
I was so out of touch with any feelings, sensations or disturbances in my body.
I had no idea that those were the things, the tools, the truth to which each person's life is guided.
I ruled my life around my thinking, thinking about, and working out what was right and wrong, what was right and wrong for the other person.
I did not know that right and wrong is only determined by the pure sensations in the body, resulting in a thought.
Not thinking about something, that creates a false emotional feeling.
I can clearly feel the difference very distinctly now.
Back then i was driven by what another wanted, to the extent that i wouldn't have any awareness of myself, or what was correct for me.
When another person acted or spoke, i didn't notice at the time, but my own self disappeared, somehow i couldn't see myself.
But of course then i wasn't looking, but i can see that now.
Thanks to Matthew (Meinck all this and more has been unravelled and corrected itself.
I had been sexually abused often as a child, but had blocked it out as i wasn't relevant, i didn't count. I was only there for others.
Thanks to Matthew i have be able to see all of this and get to the cause very simply.
Because of seeing this, as well as going through the process of it, my life has changed as a result.
Thanks to Matthew (Meinck life is now simple, clear and straight forward.
I am able to respond to the truth in my body, rather than detaching and painfully, uselessly, trying to work it out in my head.
Life flows more and i am now not left with a feeling of dread from going against the flow.
It turns out better for others too!
Thank you Matthew.

I am forever indebted to Matthew (Meinck), as he saved my life.

I am forever indebted to Matthew (Meinck), as he saved my life.
I was consumed with depression all my life.
The core feeling of worthlessness never left me, and affected my whole life.
I had attempted to take my life three times, and was endlessly planning the next attempt to escape the pain of myself and my inability to cope with the world around me.
With Matthew's help through massage and counselling my depression has been resolved.
Now i have an understanding that comes as a feeling from within my self, not just a recognition in my thinking.
When the overwhelming urgency comes to kill myself now, i know it is just a sensation leaving my body which was the feeling i was left with, after each time i was abused as a child.
After every time i was abused, that feeling of wanting to kill myself, as well as the physical and emotional trauma, was trapped in my body.
Matthew has not only stopped the pattern of being sexually abused, he has opened the flood gates for all the trapped trauma to be released and healed.
Therefore giving me a life, and a life worth living.

I owe Matthew so much, thank you with all my heart.

Thanks to Matthew (Meinck) my time and my home is now my own

I live in a feeling of being nothing therefore having nothing to offer.
I did want to try to express the recent feeling deep in me of knowing I no longer make myself available to be used day and night.

'Being switched off and numb since my first abuse at 6 months, it took Matthew (Meinck) 10 years of constant hard work and support to allow me to finally start to thaw.
And I still need his continuing interaction to help me see when I'm trapped in my victims thinking.
I can't begin to describe to you the feeling of not being an unpaid whore in my own home anymore, where whenever I was at home and I never knew when and whom was going to turn up and demand what. The constant anxiety and pressure I lived under in my own home as well as the panic if I wanted to do something for myself or away from the house. The persistent feeling of always having to be prepared and ready was terrifying.
Thanks to Matthew (Meinck) my time and my home is now my own.
The feelings of anxiety and panic are still there as habit but with far less intensity and frequency.
The knowing and the relief deep within me that the action doesn't happen anymore is worth more than I can express.....'

There is nothing that I felt through that process that Matthew (Meinck) didn’t feel along with me

What is it like to live a life of fear? To feel you have to try to control everything and everyone in your life.
The emotional psychological physical and sexual abuse I suffered as a child led me try to (in a child’s way you try) to control my world. Trying not to step on cracks in the ground or holding my breath in between them was the first thing I recognised as the start of the control. My world was completely out of control my father's rage would flare up at any moment give whatever he believed at the time to be a just reason and as a child I thought I was the reason.
As an adult I lived my life still holding my breath and it wasn't until this week I have realised to what extent that was happening.
I have only been able to realise this because it is finally breaking down.
To be able to live my life free of this is something I don’t feel words could ever do justice to.
And when I say free I mean in every sense of the word. A freedom from fear a freedom from self-disgust a freedom from feeling as survivors of sexual abuse do that I had to pay a price a penance because after all it was all my fault right.
In this harsh and violent world I found a way to heal, someone to guide me someone brave enough to take that ride with me. There is nothing that I felt through that process that Matthew (Meinck) didn’t feel along with me he laid his health on the line simply because he could see the need I had and that he could heal that need. The things I have read in the media contrary to this disgust me and the only thing that really concerns me in life now is that the utterly unique way that Matthew (Meinck) has of encouraging healing in a person will continue to be miss represented and will be lost to the people who need it most.
He has nurtured my health and now I am in position to nurture his and that is what I intend to do.
